Bowland JCR auction Tonight at 8pm Bowland JCR will be auctioning off members of their JCR for a starting bid of £5, to act of your servant for 4 hours. You can have them clean your toilet, Hoover your ceiling or scrub the oven if you place the highest bid. Are they doing this as a chance for you to get vengeance on them for freshers week? Well that is a bonus but no. They are doing this to raise money for the Twins foundation “A wish to walk”. A wonderful course close to home that is raising money for twin girls, both born with cerebral palsy, that cannot walk. They money is being raised to send the girls to America to have a life changing operation that will allow them to walk.

This fundraiser was the idea of Bowland JCR and has quickly caught the attention of other college JCR’s with many others offering themselves up for auction. Bowland president, Dan Huisman said, “I am really excited how popular this event has proven to be. Even though the money the two girls need to raise is a considerably large amount, any money raised will make a big difference to them reaching their target and it is something I am passionate about helping them reach” So, head to Bowland Bar tonight at 8pm and bid with your flat mates on the JCR member you want to do your dirty work. Other prizes to be bid on include:

4 burritos, 4 free beers, nachos for 4 at Go Burrito

Meal for 4 with bottle of wine at Teatro

Flat Portrait by Bowland art student Chris Tooley

Meal for 1 with college administrator Pat Brown

A selection of magic tricks and books from North west close up Magician of the year Sam FItton
