Tickets for Grad Ball 2011 have gone on sale along with the big reveal about which acts will be taking to the stage.
The Noisettes will be headlining the event and have promised an exceptional performance combining pop, rock, soul, blues, funk and electro into one delicious cocktail. The Great Hall will also witness Radio One DJ, Greg James, and DJ Melo, who has played alongside Sara Cox and Judge Jules. Does It Offend You, Yeah?, a five-piece band formed in Reading, are infamous for their incendiary live performances, remixing everyone from Muse to Bloc Party to The White Stripes as well as an array of soundtracks from the Fast and the Furious to Gran Turismo 5. Other musical acts set to grace the Great Hall stage are Sunderland-based indie rock band, Frankie & the Heartstrings, who are regulars on the festival scene and Tailored to Fit who are an exciting up and coming band who came together at Lancaster University.
In the Nuffield theatre, dubstep’s first fully live act, Engine Earz Experiment, who are best described as ‘Massive Attack for the dubstep generation’ have been scheduled to perform along with Britain’s Got Talent 2010 semi-finalist, Stevie Starr aka The Regurgitator, who is planning to shock the crowd with his unusual act. The Yuppies, who were also brought together at Lancaster University, will showcase their talents projecting their distinct sound featuring elements of folk, blues and rock. The Sugarhouse DJs, Cawky and Defjax and DJ Simba will also be there to ensure that the Class of 2011 go out with a bang.
