Students across campus are growing moustaches to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer as Movember returns.
The event sees the month of No- vember renamed in the eyes of many men up and down the country as they allow their facial hair to grow into a suitable ‘mo’. Awareness of Movember is now fairly high, with the event experiencing increased amounts of coverage in the media and support from various organisations with each year.
This year, LUSU have encouraged participants and donors to donate to a specific LUSU Giving page rather than the previous method of indi- vidual pages being set up for each participant.
LUSU Giving is the Union’s new consolidated charity fundraising arm, which has already raised a significant amount from initiatives it has held this academic year. The organisation is working towards a £7000 target that would lead to Liz Ashworth, LUSU Vice President (Activities) shaving her hair off in a col- lege bar.
