Applicants wishing to apply for a position should send a personal statement to
jackperry810@gmail.com in which they should highlight their experience, suitability and vision for the role they are applying for.
Alongside the personal statement, two pieces of writing should be submitted. These do not need to be pieces that have been published in SCAN: they can be pieces of coursework, samples from essays, fictional stories or other pieces of the applicant’s writing. One of these pieces should be what the applicant considers their best piece of writing and one their worst piece of writing. There is no minimum word limit but try not to make it longer than two sides of A4. (This is with the exception of Head of Photography, Production Assistant, and Head of Web & Mobile whose criteria can be found with the job description).
Sending two pieces believed to be equally good will not work in favour of the applicant as these pieces are being asked for to show capability of self-editing and recognising when their own work is good or bad.
Deadline for all applications is 6pm, Sunday June 1st 2014. Please also include a daytime phone number. Short informal interviews may take place between Monday June 2nd and Friday June 6th – if you are you are not at all available during this period then please indicate so in your application.
