Bright Futures to host Mark Wright, BBC apprentice winner

Bright Futures and the Entrepreneurs Society will be holding a talk with Mark Wright at 6pm in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Management School this evening (28th April).

Mark Wright won the tenth series of Lord Sugar’s Apprentice on BBC in 2014, when he was just 24 years old. The talk will focus on his experience in winning the BBC series and the challenges he now faces in running a seven figure turnover digital marketing agency in partnership with Lord Sugar. There will also be an open Q&A for students following the talk.

Since winning the competition, Wright’s business, digital marketing agency Climb Online, has gone from strength the strength. By the end of the year, the company is expected to double it’s initial £1.7 million turnover.

Wright said of the visit, “When studying at college or university the prospect of choosing the right career is both a daunting and exciting task, where more often than not students are stuck between knowing what they want to do and how best to achieve it. I know that feeling all too well, and as a result know exactly what steps to take to overcome any initial stumbling blocks.”

“Therefore, when I was approached by The Bright Futures Society I was instantly on board, and hope that I can inspire students to work hard towards achieving their career goals, just as Lord Sugar and other leading businessmen have inspired me.”
