Remember when Facebook didn’t exist? When there was no such thing as an iPhone and the main online way of chatting to your friends was via MSN Messenger? Well no, you probably don’t but the Bailrigg FM alumni from 2001 do and they are coming back to Lancaster for one day to entertain campus once again and reminisce! Saturday May 14th will play host to Bailrigg FM Rewind 2001, a full day of shows presented by members of the station from 2001 many of whom have gone onto successful careers in the radio and the media at large.
Swapping their desks at BBC Radio, Disney, The Guardian, Film Companies and Advertising Agencies, the team, that haven’t been back on air for nearly 10 years will take to the airwaves with a whole host of features, competitions, phone-ins plus a load of great music from now and the early noughties mixed in with a good helping of hilarity. There will be Retro News every hour looking back over the news stories that affected campus and Lancaster at the start of the millennium plus in every show on the half hour each presenter will receive a Golden Envelope with a special challenge!
