Dalton Rooms have been forced to cancel a night hosted by I’m A Celeb winner Georgia Toffolo after her agents informed them she was unavailable.
A night hosted by Charlie Sloth in the Sugarhouse – scheduled for the same day – was also cancelled after the DJ fell ill.
Toff was scheduled to meet fans in Dalton Rooms on Saturday 20 January. Dalton Rooms booked an appearance from Toff when she first appeared in the ITV Jungle, and it resulted in the highest number of pre-paid ticket sales of any appearance run by Dalton Rooms.
Her appearance was cancelled on Wednesday 17th January. The club said in a statement: “We received a phone call from her agents and management team this afternoon apologising but due to TV filming circumstances she will not be able to make it to Lancaster. She has also cancelled several other appearances this week and next week in other venues around the UK.”
Paul Roberts, managing director of Dalton Rooms, told the Lancaster Guardian on announcing the appearance: “I booked Toff within her first few days of being in the jungle as I knew she had the potential to win,”
“I think she has a very likeable personality so that’s why people want to meet her.”
“Also my partner watches “Made in Chelsea” and she loves her on that show.”
The nightclub’s statement, following Toff’s cancellation, continued: “This is genuinely out of our hands. We can only apologise to everybody who will be disappointed reading this status. We are also disappointed.”
“On a positive note we will keep working hard to bring you your favourite TV stars & Djs throughout the year. Also this Saturday we will be open as normal putting on a great night for all of you.”
VIP tickets were being sold for £10.15 and priority meet and greet tickets were sold for £7. The club has contacted ticket holders regarding refunds.
The Sugarhouse is also offering refunds to students who had purchased Charlie Sloth tickets.
The 30 year old DJ rose to prominence after beginning to host his own show on Radio 1 in 2017.
Toff is currently believed to be filming for This Morning, after she posted a photo on Instagram with the daytime TV show tagged.
Georgia Toffolo rose to fame after appearing on series seven of Made in Chelsea. She studied law at the University of Westminster. As well as working at a solicitors in Devon and law firm in London, she has worked for a political think tank called Parliament Street.
Both Charlie Sloth and Georgia Toffolo make numerous club appearances around the country.
