What’s your favourite fashion item in your wardrobe?
My favourite fashion item would be a recent purchase of some nude stilettos from River Island, I am in LOVE them. As a brown girl, the struggle was real buying nude coloured items, so when I saw these shoes on display, which were perfect for
my skin tone, I just had to buy them! They’re not something I wear everyday, but when I do wear them they make me feel professional yet chic. Plus nude heels are a fashion staple.
What’s the oldest item in your wardrobe?
I don’t tend to revamp my wardrobe very often, a lot of my clothes date back to college which is when I did my last big haul. One piece which is still in my wardrobe now, is a floral bralette which makes an appearance every summer. It’s a cute top which is perfect when paired with momma jeans and a chunky black belt, for a day outfit, or with high waisted shorts for a night out- it’s an oldie but a goodie!
What’s the most worn item in your wardrobe?
My most worn item are 100% my black skater shorts. The best part is that it looks like a skater
skirt but has the added comfort of shorts. Plus, this item is SO versatile, they’re high waisted so can be worn with little crop tops and bralettes for summer and nights out but also look so chic that, when paired with a nice top, they could be mistaken for formal attire- I’ve actually worn them on job interviews!
What’s the biggest fashion mistake in your wardrobe?
I once bought a skater dress from boohoo.com which I thought would look as good on me as it did on the model… I was mistaken. Buying a bright purple dress was questionable to say the least, plus when I finally tried it on, it was ridiculously too big for me. I never managed to return or sell it, so it’s still in my wardrobe at home.
What will you be buying next?
My faux-leather jacket is one of my wardrobe staples but I definitely need to invest in a different summer jacket. I’m thinking of a denim one which would be perfect for summer.
