It was a disappointing start for the men’s tennis as York gained a victory of 13-2. Lancaster struggled at times which York used to their advantage claiming victory in the singles matches.
Lancaster’s skills matched York’s in several matches; however, York proved the stronger team overall. The following doubles matches proved to be a greater challenge for York as Lancaster gained a lead in two matches out of three. However, York pushed to a victory overall, showing great speed and skills. Lancaster’s determination, particularly in the doubles matches, proved their own strength in the game, keeping York’s team moving throughout. A great use of space meant all players worked hard to try and gain a win but eventually missed out on an overall victory.
