Following the success of a sell-out last year, LUDans’ annual show returns this weekend for a fourth time.
The show comes after last weekend’s competition, hosted by Lancaster, in which Lancaster won the tap dancing category competing against guests from Nottingham Trent and York St John.
This year LUDans promises to ‘wow’ it’s audience with dances from a variety of genres, including tap, ballet, street and contemporary. LUDans’ Evolve also features the break-dancing and Hip Hop society, providing something for all tastes and age groups in the show. Laura Whitehouse, show co-ordinator for LUDans said “we’ve all worked really hard this year towards the show and it promises to be amazing! We would really appreciate your support.”
This year, there is a collection for the Rwanda Development Trust which commemorates the Rwandan genocide of 1992 and “provides relief to inhabitants who are suffering from hardship as a result of social, economic and natural conditions through developing education, health and other social services.” It also aims to “improve agricultural methods, water supplies and other communal facilities, and the promotion of self-help activities in Rwanda.”
The show has two performances; Friday March 2nd and Saturday March 3rd. Doors to the Great Hall open at 7.00pm and it starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from members of the Executive throughout this week and from outside the bar in the Great Hall complex. They are £5 for concessions and £7 for adults.
