This year will see Lancaster University Dance Society’s 8th annual show – LUDanS presents: Past to Present. Our biggest event, the show provides the opportunity for all of our members to choreograph, perform and exhibit their talent across three performances. The performances will take place in the Great Hall at 7:30pm on Saturday 5th March, 2:30pm on Sunday 6th March and 7:30pm on Sunday 6th March.

They will showcase our award winning competition routines, which have been performed this year at Durham Dance Fusion and University of Liverpool, as well as a number of dances choreographed and rehearsed especially for the show! Throughout the year we have performed in many events across campus such as the Christmas markets, Lancaster University Ballroom Society’s charity showcase and Cartmel’s Global Festival to name a few. LUDanS take pride in our ability to be diverse and versatile and are proud to say that alongside our competition and performance squads, some of our members are also involved in a collaborative performance of the musical Fame, which will be showing in April.

Past to Present is the ultimate performance opportunity for our members with styles ranging from Charleston to Burlesque, as well as Ballet, Contemporary, Street and many more! This year’s show is themed from past to present, therefore encompassing songs and music from a wide variety of time periods and genres. With a guest performance from the wonderful Specs Appeal during the interval, you are certain to be entertained throughout!

Tickets are £5 for concessions (students and under 18s) and £7.50 for adults. They will be on sale in Alex Square throughout weeks 7 and 8 and are also available to reserve at ludansshowtickets@outlook.com or buy on the door. If you are unable to make it to our show, make sure you come along and catch us competing at Roses on Saturday 30th April at 11am in the Great Hall! Follow LUDanS on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates. We hope to see you there!
