Event: Clothes Swap
Venue: The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster
Date: Tuesday 23 November
Are you in need of a new outfit but can’t manage to stretch the student loan over the festive period? Fear not, The Dukes Theatre in Lancaster is here to help. On Tuesday of Week Seven, The Dukes are hosting a Clothes Swap, offering the chance to shop without delving into your pockets. Clothes hoarders are invited to take along up to five quality and clean items between 3-7.30pm. For each item, you will receive a token which can be exchanged for another item when the event starts at 7.30pm.
The Clothes Swap is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted clothes and exchange them for something else. The majority of students will have at least one item of clothing lying around their room that they no longer need, so why not pop along to The Dukes. The event would also be a good chance to look for some fancy dress items, because what student’s wardrobe is complete without a vast array of disguises.
SCAN Lifestyle will be sending one of our writers along to the event to see what they can find for a feature in our next issue. Perhaps an entire outfit from trading in unwanted clothes, or even that perfect item that goes with everything. How about you join them, and exchange the old for new. You never know what treasures you might discover!
The Dukes are running the Clothes Swap as part of their Green Season, which includes an art exhibition created from recycled plastic bags and screenings of environmentally themed films. For more information about the event and others like it, check out www.dukes-lancaster.org.
