On Thursday Week 9, Dr Ian Williams PhD will be giving a talk on start-up strategy at the Storey (on Meeting House Lane) from 7.30pm. Williams founded a start-up in April 2014 which has garnered international traction, having previously served as the CEO of a £20million NGO. His start-up, Caplor Horizons, aims to inspire and enable leaders to deliver a sustainable future. Previously he served as Executive Director of Concern Universal, an international development organisation, working to reduce poverty. Whilst in the position, Williams grew the NGO from £2million per annum to £23 million. He has previously served as a Visiting Fellow at CASS Business School (University of London) and is currently an Honorary Visiting Senior Lecturer at Worcester Business School. Williams will discuss the benefits of start-up strategy and will provide guidance on how to implement such a strategy within a start-up.
