Williams founded a start-up in April 2014 which has garnered international traction, having previously served as the CEO of a £20million NGO. His start-up, Caplor Horizons, aims to inspire and enable leaders to deliver a sustainable future. Previously he served as Executive Director of Concern Universal, an international development organisation, working to reduce poverty. Whilst in the position, Williams grew the NGO from £2million per annum to £23 million. He has previously served as a Visiting Fellow at CASS Business School (University of London) and is currently an Honorary Visiting Senior Lecturer at Worcester Business School. Williams will discuss the benefits of start-up strategy and will provide guidance on how to implement such a strategy within a start-up.
The event is to be hosted by Hive; a network of “doers.” They organise events to develop three core pillars which allow you to connect networks, share ideas and challenge concepts. Connecting networks allows you to develop useful contacts. Sharing concepts encourages creativity and the focus on challenges concepts allows you to become more analytical and able to challenge common perceptions. Their goal is to further the potential of start-ups and allow entrepreneurs to develop themselves. If you want to build a start-up, or just have an interest in business more broadly, this event will provide you with the opportunity to network and discuss your ideas.
