On a day when most of Lancaster’s other teams should be hanging their heads in shame, the hockey team will at least be able to hold their’s high.
A close-fought series of races saw York take the lion’s share of the points in Roses rowing, winning 12 points to Lancaster’s 8.
For most of the Lancaster Judo squad this was their first senior competition. It’s to their credit then that they were able to claw back some much needed, but ultimately redundant points, for Lancaster late this afternoon as the squad took to force their York rivals.
